Wall of Honor
Monica Martinez had an outstanding four-year career as a member of the Barry University softball team, finishing as the all-time leader in runs (160) and stolen bases (139), which are still records. She currently ranks tied for sixth in hits (206). Martinez was named an All-American in 1993, and All-South Region in 1991 and 1993. A player with tremendous speed, Martinez ranked 2nd on the NCAA Division II career stolen base list at the time of her graduation.
Martinez finished her career in the all-time Top 10 in seven other offensive categories at Barry, including total bases (2nd), game-winning hits (4th), RBI (5th), home runs (7th), career batting average (8th), triples (9th) and walks (10th).
