A two-time All-American, Fraitzl was named the 2009 Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Player to Watch, in addition to earning the same honor in the South Region. He was voted the Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year in 2008, and earned all- conference honors in all four years. His 62 singles victories are tied for sixth on the school’s all-time list, while his 76 doubles wins rank tied for fifth. The first men’s tennis player in school history to win the national team championship and the individual singles title in the same calendar year, he led the Bucs to their first-ever national championship in the spring of 2010, then captured the singles title in the fall. In the national championship match against Valdosta State, he rallied back from down 4-0 in the third set to beat Christian Hansen 5-7, 6-2, 6-4. He was an ITA Scholar All-American twice in his career. Fraitzl continues to play tennis with TC Großhesselohe Munich in the Bundesliga and is also a certified international tennis coach. He earned his master’s degree in Germany in management with a minor in marketing and currently works for ProSiebenSat.1, the biggest broadcaster in Germany since 2019.
