Jennifer Shannon finished her soccer career at Barry as one of the all-time top athletes to ever attend the school. When her career was over, Shannon ranked first in career points, career goals scored, career assists and career game-winning goals.
Shannon’?s 1992 season was one for the books, when she recorded then Barry single-season records for points (44) and assists (14). Shannon’?s efforts were part of four tremendous years for Barry soccer, as the Bucs won National Championships in 1989 and 1992.
On a national scale, Shannon was recognized as an All-American in 1991 and 1992. Shannon scored the game-winning goal in Barry?s 3-2 National Championship victory over Adelphi University, a feat which earned her 1992 Offensive MVP honors for the NCAA Division II Tournament.
