Volleyball Earns 19th NCAA Tournament Appearance With At-Large Bid

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry Buccaneer Women's Volleyball team has been selected as an At-Large bid to the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Tournament, earning the no. 2 seed in the South Regional. The regional will be hosted by the University of Tampa in the Bob Martinez Athletics Center from December 4-6. 

This is the 19th appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the Bucs, the third in the last four years. Barry finished second in the regular season in the Sunshine State Conference going an identical 16-4 and 23-4 overall, the same at this point last year. 

The eight-team bracket will be single elimination with Barry matched up to take on seventh-seeded Eckerd College for their opening match. The regional is made up of five Sunshine State schools with no. 1 seed Tampa, no. 3 seed Lynn, no. 5 seed Palm Beach Atlantic, and no. 7 seed Eckerd. Only UT, Lynn, and Barry repeat as representatives for the SSC from the 2024 season. The remaining Gulf South Conference is represented by their champions, no. 4 seed West Florida, and with an at-large bid for the no. 6 seed Alabama-Huntsville. The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Champions, Spring Hill will be the no. 8 seed.
