TAMPA, Fla. — The third-ranked anf second seeded Barry Women's Volleyball team starts their postseason journey with a three-set sweep over seventh seeded Eckerd College. The offensive triple threat of Veronika Eremeeva, Valeriya Kozlova, and Varvara Osychenko combined for 34 of the 39 kills for the Buccaneers. It is the first time this season Barry sweeps Eckerd.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - It was a back and forth battle through the first 15 points of the set, Barry then gained a gap after a 4-0 run to 14-8 and force a Triton timeout. The Bucs carried that lead through the rest of the set to take a 1-0 match lead. Eremeeva led the set in kills with five, Osychenko had four, and Kozlova three, while the team hit .423 in the set. | Barry 25, Eckerd 13
- Set Two - In a much tighter set, the momentum swung when Gaia Riedmuller ran down a ball to keep the play alive and the Buccaneers converted the free ball into a point. Barry ended the set with a 5-0 run that saw Eremeeva hold serve for four of those points, notching an ace. Kozlova led in kills this set with five, Osychenko four, and Eremeeva three. - Set Three - Barry led from start to finish to close out the sweep. A 3-0 run off two Triton errors gave them the early lead. Kozlova closed out the match with the final kill. The Buccaneers hit nearly .300 points better than Eckerd at .417 to .176. | Barry 25, Eckerd 20
NOTEWORTHY:
- Kozlova led the match with 12 kills, with a .308 swing percentage. She also led in blocks with four.
- Eremeeva and Osychenko had 11 kills each.
- Osychenko did not make a single attacking error and was a dig shy of a double-double with nine.
- Thalia Iglesias ran the offense to a .367 hitting percentage with 27 assists.
- Barry led in every statistical category.
