Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 17, 2023) -- The Barry University softball team took the first of a three-game series from Lynn University after rallying for four-runs in its last at bat for a 5-2 final at McCusker Complex in Boca Raton, Florida. Due to impending forecast for Sunday, the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) series finale became the Friday opener with a doubleheader still scheduled for Saturday. Maci Barnhart (W, 8-6) went the distance in the Friday afternoon start for the Buccaneers, allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out eight Fighting Knights and walking none.

Madison Prickett now pitching for Hayley Fardanesh and Hayley Pasma greets the new Fighting Knight hurler with a pinch hit double to score two Bucs (Ream and Bunn). NOTEWORTHY:
- Buccaneers doubled up the Fighting Knights in basehits, 8 to 4.
- Cassandra Lee and Rylee Lord each had multiple hits for the Bucs.
- Hayley Pasma and Jordan Ream both doubled in the 7th.
- Two of Lynn's four hits went for extra bases - a triple and a home run.
