MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry Softball team closed out the 2026 season on top with a win in game two of a double header against Tampa. Prior to the game, Barry honored Brooke Moeller as the final senior.

SUMMARY (GAME ONE):
- T1 – A single and walk put two aboard for the Spartans with one away in the first. The next single brought in the first run of the game. | Tampa 1, Barry 0
- T2 – Tampa added to their lead in the next inning scoring three runs off four hits. | Tampa 4, Barry 0
- B4 – Barry was able to push through and put up three runs on the board. Sadie Haefeli drew a leadoff walk and stole second to get in scoring position. Mya Tucker had the RBI-single to bring her home and then stole second. After a pitching change, Serah Shafer was able to have an infield single. Tucker was able to cause havoc on the bases and scored from second tagging up and advancing and then stealing home. Sarah Langlie then singled to left and brought home Shafer. | Tampa 4, Barry 3
- T5 – A leadoff homerun quickly got one run back. | Tampa 5, Barry 3
- B5 – A passed ball scored the fourth run for the Bucs and brought the game back within one. | Tampa 5, Barry 4

NOTEWORTHY (GAME ONE):
- Five Bucs collected two-hit games (Tucker, Shafer, Langlie, Kiera Strub, and Cameron Marchese).
- Bunn picked up the lone other hit for a total of 11.
- Tucker also reached two other times via a walk.
- Chandler Barry and Sadie Haefeli each drew two walks as well.
- Langlie notched her 60th hit and makes it the first time since 2011 that three Buccaneer teammates have 60 or more hits in the same season.
SUMMARY (GAME TWO):
- B1 – Barry was able to strike first as the speedy Shafer had a delay steal that drew an errant throw from the pitcher as she scored. | Barry 1, Tampa 0

- B4 – The Bucs collected the run and added insurance. Chandler Barry launched a full count home run over the left field fence. Some more base running heads up plays drew to chaos and the second run in the inning. | Barry 3, Tampa 1
NOTEWORTHY (GAME TWO):
- Shafer ended her career with another two-hit game, she ties the program record for most multi-hit games in a single season.
- Bunn ended her collegiate career going 2-for-2 with and a walk.
- It was her 99th career walk as she leaves as the all-time program leader and ranked seventh overall in SSC history.
- Alexis Martin threw her 11th complete game this season allowing just five hits and one earned run, while striking out four.
- She has secured double-digit wins in back to back season and set a new personal season high in strikeouts with 78.
