Men's and Women's Tennis Earn Top Seed at NCAA South Regional

The Bucs will both host the opening round matches.

INDIANAPOLIS — Both of Barry's men's and women's tennis teams were selected to host the opening rounds of the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament. The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Tennis Committee selected the 48 teams that will be participating in the 2022 NCAA Division II Tennis Championships. The winning team from each site will advance to the finals at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission will serve as hosts.

MEN'S
The Bucs will take on the Benedict Tigers in the opening round of their regional tournament on Monday at 9:00 AM. 

South Region

For the Buccaneers, it is their 26th NCAA Tournament appearance since 1995. The Bucs have won five national championships (201020132015, 2019, 2021) and have finished runner up seven more times. Their 12 appearances in the national title match is an NCAA Division II record.

WOMEN'S
Barry will open their bracket with a bye before hosting the winner of West Alabama and Lynn.

The Buccaneers have 29 previous appearances in the national tournament since 1991. They have won six national championships (2011201420172018, 2019, 2021), including the last four in a row, and have finished runner up twice.
