AUSTIN, Texas -- Barry's Ailen Crespo was one of 18 students named to the College Sports Communicators' Academic Women's Tennis All-America team on Tuesday.

Crespo, a senior graduate student pursuing her MBA, holds a 4.0 GPA. She was named to the Second-Team.

The Buenos Aires, Argentina native was a First-Team All-SSC doubles pick and Second-Team singles. She she finished the season 9-5 singles record this spring, and went 17-4 in doubles, 15-3 in dual matches with partner Luanne Lutringer. The pair ranked 16th by the ITA to end the season.

Crespo is the 78th Buccaneer to be named Academic All-America and the first from women's tennis since Karina Goia in 2017. Overall, womens' tennis has had 12 Academic All-America picks, second in program history to men's tennis, which has had 25.

The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II Academic All-America® programs.
