TEMPE, Ariz. - The Barry University women's tennis team once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence in the classroom, earning recognition as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II All-Academic Team for the 2025-26 academic year. The honor marks the 22nd time the Buccaneers have received the distinction since the ITA introduced the award in 2004.
Barry was one of 95 Division II programs nationwide and one of eight Sunshine State Conference schools to earn ITA All-Academic Team recognition after meeting the organization's academic standards during the 2025-26 academic year.
In addition to the team accolade, 14 Bucs earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors after posting a grade point average of at least 3.50 during the academic year. The 14 Scholar Athletes were the most for any program and included

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale and be listed on their institution's eligibility form. Teams recognized as ITA All-Academic Teams must post a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher while including all varsity letter winners in the team calculation. In 2026, the ITA recognized 649 Division II women's tennis student-athletes as Scholar-Athletes, while 95 programs earned All-Academic Team honors.
