Box Score 2 MELBOURNE, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers pulled a huge upset over the sixth-ranked Angelo State Rambelles 4-2 at the Florida Tech Invitational on Sunday. Barry fell 9-2 to the host Panthers in the final game.

- B4 - The Bucs staged a two-out rally in the fourth. With Andrea Johnson aboard at third, Checkley came through again with a single up the middle. After Checkley stole second, Karla Santiago beat out a bunt single and Checkley came around to score. | Barry 4, ASU 0
- T5 - Avery Ziegler ripped a two-run double down the left field line to cut the lead in half. | Barry 4, ASU 2
- T7 - The sixth-ranked Rambelles loaded the bases in the seventh with a double by Karina Rocha and infield singles by Megan Gordon and Jade Strother. But Gabby Vallee settled down and got a pair of pop ups and a strikeout to close out the win.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Johnson (1-1) worked 4.2 innings for the win for Barry. She allowed two runs on two hits and six walks and struck out one.
- Vallee picked up her first save, going 2.1 innings without allowing a run or a walk. She gave up four hits and struck out one.
- Victoria Vasquez (0-1) took the loss for the Rambelles. She worked a complete game, allowing four runs (two earned) on three hits and four walks. She struck out three.
- Jordan Lawlis (2-0) went four innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk.
- Velasquez pitched the final three scoreless innings for her first save. She held the Bucs to two hits and a walk and struck out five.
- Vallee (0-2) went for a complete game for the Bucs, allowing nine runs (seven earned) on 10 hits and two walks in six innings.
