MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barry's softball team heads to Gulf Shores, Ala., to take part in the the Gulf Coast Invitational, where they have six games lined up.

These will be the opening games of the 2018 regular season for the Buccaneers. The Bucs went 3-3 at this invitational last year.

Barry will open the season Friday at 1:15 p.m. versus Tuskegee. The Bucs meet North Alabama later in the day.

The Buccaneers went 23-28, 11-16 in the Sunshine State Conference last season. Barry has 11 returners and five newcomers this season with a new coaching staff in head coach Sean Cotter and assistant coach Kelley Montalvo.
