MIAMI SHORES, Fla.— The Barry University baseball team moved to 3-1 on the season on Saturday afternoon with a 13-4 win over Georgia Southwestern. The game was the final of a four-game series.
The Bucs used a barrage of offense in the second inning to jump out to a 6-0 lead.
Ryan Garcia started it rolling in the second with a double to centerfield. After an
Adrian English strike out,
James Young jacked a homer to leftfield, scoring Garcia.
The Bucs added one in the sixth when Dwelly reached home off a
Matt Petty single. The Bucs added four in the seventh and two in the eighth to take the 13-4 win. Dwelly, Petty, English,
Ryan Garcia,
Manny Pedrozo, and Harold Holeness added runs in the win.
Corey Witkowski took the win for the Bucs, he moves to 1-0 on the season while Zach Whitman took the loss for Georgia Southwestern.
The bucs return to action on Tuesday, February 8 when they host Nova Southeastern in non-conference action at 6:00 pm.
