JAMES AT A GLANCE: James returns for his junior season after being a big part of last year’s regional run. Defensively James will anchor down the 3rd base position and most likely hit in the middle of the lineup. A natural leader, his game has improved drastically in the time he has been a Buccaneer.
SOPHOMORE (2011): Started all 54 games in which he played primarily at thirdbase...Hit .303 and finished with 59 hits good for fifth on the team...Belted 8 home runs and 33 RBIs and amassed a .477 slugging percentage...Went 5-10 with a homerun and 6 RBIs in a three game series versus Lander...On May 1 went 3 for 3 with 2 runs in a 6-2 win over conference rival Lynn.
FRESHMAN (2010): Posted a .333 batting average in his first active season as a Buccaneer… Played in 19 games with 15 starts and collected 60 at bats… Totaled seven doubles and a home run… In his first game of his career went 2-4 on Feb. 7, against Georgia Southwestern… Collected his first RBI against St. Thomas on Feb. 16… Jacked his first home run on March 13 against conference foe Florida Tech… Played for the Oneonta Outlaws over the summer in the New York Collegiate League… Posted a .224 average over the summer with 23 starts and 28 appearances… Totaled two home runs and eight RBIs.
