Summary

Biography

 Garcia has gone back to his natural position of catcher. Garcia adds depth to the catching position but will see most of his time as designated hitter. He will bat in the middle of the Bucs lineup once the season starts.
 
JUNIOR (2010): Posted a .376 batting average, second on the team… Started 43 games and played in 45… Recorded 62 hits a and 10 home runs with 40 RBIs… Tied for 3rd on the team in multiple hit games with 19… Tied for sixth on the squad for multi-RBI games with 10… Had the third longest hitting streak on the team at 12 games…Played for the Woodstock River Bandits in the Valley League over the summer… Batted .216 with 12 starts and 14 appearances… Added three doubles and four RBIs.
 
PREVIOUS COLLEGE (SOUTH FLORIDA): Made six appearances in 2009...Had a total of one hit and one run...Batted .167...Third on the team in number of pinch hit at bats with five...Had one run against Marshall (3/6).
 
SUMMER (2007): Played for the Woodstock River Bandits of the Valley Baseball League ... In 11 games played (starting nine), had five hits including a three-run home run ... Had 52 put-outs and four assists while splitting time at catcher and first base ... Did not commit an error on the season.

JUNIOR COLLEGE (Brevard CC): Batted .349 at Brevard Community College in 2007, collecting 21 RBI from nine doubles and one home run in his rookie campaign ... Red-shirt in 2008. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  Earned two letters for coach Mandy Pelaez at Miami Sunset High ... As a senior had four homers, a .357 average and 20 RBI ... As a junior, batted .360, hitting six home runs and recording 23 RBI ... Earned All-Dade Honorable Mention from the Miami Herald as a senior.
