Biography

Jesus Garcia is a rookie who earned a spot on the Bucs roster due to his drastic improvement defensively since last season. Jesus will begin the season as the backup 2nd baseman. He continues to improve every day.

FRESHMAN (2011): Played in 11 games including 1 start...Hit .250 and finished with a .438 on base percentage... Picked up his first career hit and rbi in as a pinch hitter in a 13-4 win over Georgia Southwestern on February 6...Went 2-5 with a season high 3 runs in a 19-1 win over Chestnut Hill on March 6.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Graduated from Brito Miami Private School in 2010... Earned four letter in baseball for the Panthers under coach Fundora... Batted .409 with three home runs and 22 RBIs his junior year... Tallied a .417 batting average with five home runs and 27 RBIs his senior season... Named team captain his senior season... Collected a .411 average with nine home runs and 54 RBIs for his career.

 

PERSONAL: Son of Juan Garcia and Amarilis Dominguez... Majoringing in Biology.
