Box Score 2 MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry University softball team swept the Rollins College Tars in a Sunshine State Conference doubleheader earlier today at Buccaneer Field winning both games 1-0.
KD Smith scored each of the Bucs' winning runs after leadoff singles in both contests, while Sarah White drove in both runs.
Sarah Reeber (15-10) suffered both losses for the Tars hurling 12 innings giving up seven hits, two runs (one earned), and struck out two.
Geralyn Elam (21-3) earned the win for the Bucs in the first game hurling the complete game shutout, giving up two hits and struck out five. Erin Cormier (13-2) fanned nine in the one-hit shutout in game two.
Kim Fujimoto went three-for-five in the two contests to lead the Bucs, while White added two RBI.
Lasting a combined 2:33, the Bucs tallied seven hits in both games to the Tars three.
The Buccaneers will resume action on Sunday, Mar. 30 at 1 pm hosting Florida Tech in SSC play.
