Box Score 2 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--The fifth-ranked Barry Buccaneers spilt a Sunshine State Conference softball doubleheader with the Eckerd Tritons at Turley Field on Saturday, winning game one 2-0 and dropping the nightcap 2-0.
In game one, Lindsey Rhodes scored on a wild pitch and Heather Hodges drove in Nora Conroy with an insurance run.
Geralyn Elam (19-2) tossed a two-hit shutout, walking two and striking out 13. She eclipsed Stephanie Caldwell's single season of 224 with a whiff of Chelsey Polgar in the third inning. She finished the game with 232 strikeouts on the season. Kristina Lemon (5-16) took the loss for the Tritons, despite allowing only one earned run. She gave up three hits and walked two, while striking out four.
In game two, the Tritons scored twice on Barry miscues and Lindsay Sivard (5-16) shutout the Bucs on six hits, walking two and striking out three. Rhodes (3-5) took the loss for the Bucs. She allowed two runs, one earned, on two hits and seven walks and struck out seven.

Barry (28-10, 13-5 SSC) will take on Tampa on Sunday, while the Tritons (10-32, 4-16 SSC) will entertain Lynn.
