Box Score VALDOSTA, Ga.--The Barry Buccaneers scalped the West Georgia Braves 5-0 at the Super 8 Slugfest at Valdosta State's softball complex.

The Bucs scored twice in the first and added a three-run seventh inning to salt the game away.

In the first inning, Delilah Stroup and KD Smith led off the inning with back-to-back singles and scored on a pair of sacrifice flies by Lindsey Rhodes and Sarah White.

In the seventh, Smith led off with a single and then stole second and third on successive pitches. After walks to Rhodes and White walked to load the bases, Jenny Miranda drew a walk to force in Smith. Heather Hodges added a two-run double to plate Rhodes and White to complete the scoring.

Erin Cormier (2-0) tossed her first complete-game shutout of the season, allowing five hits and one walk, while striking out seven. Jennifer Edwards (0-3) took the loss for the Braves (1-6). She pitched 5.1 innings and allowed two runs, both earned, on seven hits and three walks, while striking out one.

Hodges, Smith and Lauren Hoffman each rapped out two hits to pace the Bucs' attack.

Barry (5-2) takes on Alabama-Huntsville and West Florida tomorrow.
