Barry University's volleyball team won the 1995 Sunshine State Conference Championship.
The Buccaneers went 14-0 in league play. Barry recorded 13 sweeps in league play and 27 on the year.
The Bucs went on to win the NCAA Championship, going 34-2. Barry won 23 straight matches during the season. Barry beat Northern Michigan, 6-15, 15-11, 15-10, 15-9, in the title match.
Marya Morusiewicz had 1,025 assists, becoming the first setter in school history to record over 1,000 assists in a season. She also had 52 aces. Mickisha Hurley set a school record with 169 blocks. Sonia Gubaidulina averaged 3.94 kills per set.
Hurley was an All-American. Gubaidulina was a Freshman All-American. Wei Liu, Cindy Yuan, Elvira Vakhidova and Hurley were All-SSC selections. Hurley was the conference Player of the Year, Gubaidulina was the Freshman of the Year and Leonid Yelin was named Coach of the Year for the second straight season.
