Barry University's volleyball team won the 1994 Sunshine State Conference title.
The Buccaneers went 14-0 in the league, including an 11-0 record at home. The Bucs beat Florida Southern, 15-11, 15-7, 15-12, to complete the perfect league record on Nov. 12.
Barry was 30-4 overall, recording 23 sweeps. The Bucs advanced to the Elite Eight, where they fell to Northern Colorado, 15-6, 15-13, 15-8, in Bakersfield, Calif.
Mickisha Hurley had 527 kills, averaging 4.88 kills per set, and led the nation with a .437 hitting percentage to earn All-America honors. Hurley, Naomi Legagneur, Elvira Vakhidova and Wei Liu earned All-SSC honors.
