MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barry Women's Volleyball will open up the same way they finished last season, with a ranking of sixth in the AVCA/TARAFLEX DII Women's Volleyball Poll. This marks the 24th straight weekly poll the Buccaneers have appeared in, and back-to-back years of being ranked in the preseason poll. This is also the second time in the last four years that Barry begins the season in the top-10, the last being in 2023.
The Buccaneers return 12 players on the roster and added four new pieces. Valeriya Kozlova and Veronika Eremeeva highlight the list as the two All-Americans are back in the red and black.
Barry is set to kick off the season with a trip to the Northeast at the Sandy Hoffman Memorial Tournament, hosted by Bentley. Two of the three opponents are mentioned in the receiving votes of the poll in Central Missouri and Grand Valley State. Bentley checks in at 22nd in the preseason poll.
