MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Head coach Allison Bustamante announced another senior transfer for 2026-27 as 6-0 guard Laila McLeod joins the Buccaneers for the upcoming season.
"Laila brings valuable Division I experience, great size at the guard position, and a natural touch and feel for the game," Bustamante said. "Her maturity, skill set, and ability to impact the game in multiple ways will allow us to rely on her to carry a significant role within our program."
McLeod spent four years in NCAA Division I, at Grand Canton as a freshman, then three years, including a red-shirt, at Denver. In 67 games, with 13 starts, she averaged 3.1 points and 1.9 rebounds. She shot 29.6 percent from three-point range and 66.7 percent from the line.
"Barry felt like the right fit from day one, McLeod said. I'm excited for the opportunity to compete for championships while furthering my education in a place where I can continue to grow on and off the court."
The Bucs are looking to get back to the Sunshine State Conference Tournament in 2026-27.
