Women's Basketball Adds D-I Point Guard

Welcome-Lee Lee Willis

Women's Basketball | 7/15/2026 10:00:00 AM

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Junior guard Lee Lee Willis joins the women's basketball team for 2026-27, according to head coach Allison Bustamante.

"Lee Lee brings the kind of experience, poise, and leadership that immediately elevates a team," Bustamante said. "Her versatility, high basketball IQ, and ability to impact both ends of the floor make her exactly the type of player we wanted leading our program."

The 5-6 guard played parts of the three seasons for the NCAA Division I Kennesaw State Owls. After seeing limited time her first two seasons, she broke out last year, playing in 25 games off the bench as the Owls went 13-17. She averaged 5.3 points per game and added 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest. She shot 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 73.5 percent from the line.

"I chose Barry because I really clicked with the coaches and the vision they have for the program," Willis said. "They showed me exactly how I fit into the team and how they can help me continue developing my game. Coming from a D-I school, I wanted to be somewhere I could make an impact, play with confidence, and be in a system that fits my style of play. Also what stood out the most was that they care about more than just being an athlete. They care about setting their players up for success after the game too. With my career goals in healthcare, I felt like Barry was the best place for me to grow as both a player and a person."

The Bucs are looking to get back to the Sunshine State Conference Tournament in 2026-27.
