MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Head coach Allison Bustamante announced the signing of 6-4 center from Kobulti, Georgia, Lika Kvirkvelia to the 2026-27 class.
"Lika brings valuable experience along with the size and versatility that can change the way you play on both ends of the floor," Busamante said. "Her ability to score inside and out, facilitate for her teammates, and control the glass gives us a dynamic frontcourt presence that will have a significant impact on our program."
The Georgian spent her first three seasons in NCAA Division I, at Xavier in Ohio and at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB). She appeared in 32 games, starting 19 across the three seasons, including a red-shirt in 2024-25 at Xavier. She averaged almost nine minutes per game, scoring 1.4 points and grabbing 1.6 rebounds.
"I chose Barry because it felt like the right place to grow not just as an athlete, but as a person," Kvirkvelia said. "I wanted to be somewhere that would challenge me, support me, and give me the opportunity to compete while building meaningful relationships. I'm grateful to be joining a program that feels like home."
The Bucs are looking to get back to the Sunshine State Conference Tournament in 2026-27.
