MIAMI, Fla.- ITA released the women's NCAA Division II Computerized Rankings, featuring updated standings for team, singles, and doubles on Wednesday, April 23rd. With the Bucs continuing their run at the number one spot. In addition to the ITA rankings, the NCAA also released its regional rankings.
RANKINGS
The Buccaneers have remained in the No. 1 spot for the past four weeks. Barry now holds a 19-2 overall record and remains undefeated in conference play at 9-0. In this week's rankings, the Bucs are ahead of Sunshine State Conference opponents Embry-Riddle (No. 2), Nova Southeastern (No. 5), Florida Southern (No. 8), Lynn (No. 10), Rollins (No. 16), and Eckerd (No. 42).
The Bucs are also ranked No. 1 in the NCAA Regional rankings. The Bucs are ranked above several SSC opponents, including Embry-Riddle (No. 2), Florida Southern (No.6), Nova Southeastern (No.7), Lynn (No.8), and Rollins (No.9).
Along with the team rankings, the ITA released its latest singles and doubles standings.
In singles, Dana Heimen moved up two spots to No. 6 nationally. Viktoriia Dema also moved up four spots to No. 11, while Alina Michalitsch moved to No. 31. Ailen Crespo is also ranked, coming in at No. 39.
In doubles competition, the duo of Louane Lutringer and Crespo is now ranked No. 15 in the nation. Meanwhile, Heimen and Anastasia Nikolova are now in the No. 19 spot.
