MIAMI, Fla.- ITA released the women's NCAA Division II Computerized Rankings, featuring updated standings for team, singles, and doubles on Wednesday, March 18th. With the Bucs moving up for another week.
RANKINGS
The Buccaneers have reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the latest rankings after briefly dropping to third and then climbing back to second in the March 11 poll. Barry now holds a 12-1 overall record and remains undefeated in conference play at 3-0. This week's rankings place the Bucs ahead of Sunshine State Conference opponents Nova Southeastern (No. 3), Embry-Riddle (No. 5), Florida Southern (No. 11), Rollins (No. 13), Lynn (No. 14), Eckerd (No. 28), Saint Leo (No. 43), and Tampa (No. 46).
Along with the team rankings, the ITA released its latest singles and doubles standings.
In singles, Dana Heimen leads the way at No. 8 nationally. Alina Michalitsch climbed to No. 30, while Viktoriia Dema made one of the biggest jumps of the week, rising 30 spots to No. 31. Ailen Crespo also remains in the rankings, checking in at No. 50.
In doubles competition, the duo of Heimen and Anastasia Nikolova is now ranked No. 11 in the nation. Meanwhile, Louane Lutringer and Crespo moved to the No. 16 spot.
