ORLANDO, Fla - Women's tennis has earned their second weekly honor from the Sunshine State Conference in a row as Vicktoriia Dema has brought home the SSC women's tennis player of the week award presented by Pollo Compreo for the week of Feb. 16th - 22nd for her performance that helped the Bucs win their fifth ITA Indoor Championship. 

On day one of the Indoor Championships, Dema helped her doubles partner, Anastasia Nikolova, gain the first point for Barry by sweeping in their doubles match. On the second day, the junior once again contributed to the doubles effort, helping Barry secure the first point of the match, which they won 6-2. Dema then went on to compete in the singles where she gained Barry another crucial point by winning with a straight set victory 6-4, 6-0. On the final day of the championships The Bucs took the doubles lead as Dema and Nikolova took court three in straight sets. The Ukrainian was then the first to win her singles match for the second day in a row, which made the score 2-0 Barry, pushing the Bucs to the win against West Florida.

The next time the Bucs will be in action is Friday, Feb. 27th, when they will face off against Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Fla.
