ORLANDO, Fla.- Barry University women's tennis has earned their first weekly honor from the Sunshine State Conference as
Louane Lutringer has brought home the SSC player of the week award presented by Pollo Compreo for the week of Feb 9th - Feb 15th for her performance in the Bucs first three matches of the season.
Lutringer helped the Bucs defeat St. Thomas in their first match of the season 7-0 after helped the Bucs get their first point with her win in doubles with
Ailen Crespo 6-1. The Sophmore then went on to win her singles match in a quick 6-1, 6-3 win. The Bucs then went on to face their conference rivals #20 Lynn University where Lutringer and her dou were the first to win their doubles match 6-3, She then went on to the singles and took her match 6-1, 7-5. Lastly, the Bucs faced off against the Lady Mocs, Lutringer helped get the Bucs their third straight win of the season by helping her dou win their doubles match 6-4, and then her singles match 6-2, 6-3.
The next time the Bucs will play is on Feb 17th where they will host FNU at home at 1:00 pm.
