Men's Lacrosse | 10/8/2026 3:11:00 PM

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Head coach Alex Williams announces his inaugural men's lacrosse schedule for the 2027 season slated to get started on Saturday, February 6th at 6:00 pm when the team is on the road for a game against Flagler College. The Buccaneers collected a talented group of individuals ready to take on the season setting the tone in one of the most competitive conferences in all of Division II in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC). The SSC consists of a total of two ranked teams by the conclusion of the previous 2026 season being Florida Tech and Tampa who just won the 2026 Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship.

"We are extremely excited for our first season in program history. There has been an incredible amount of hard work happening behind the scenes by our amazing administrators and support staff to help get us to this point, and we are grateful for everyone who has played a role in building this program."

"When putting together our schedule, we were very intentional and strategic with our approach. We understand how rigorous this journey will be competing in the Sunshine State Conference as they have distinguished themselves as the toughest conference in the country from top to bottom. Our goal was to build a schedule that would challenge us early, prepare us for conference play, and give our program opportunities to learn, grow, and develop as we navigate our inaugural season."

FULL SCHEDULE

After their season opener against Flagler, the Buccaneers will step onto the turf of Buccaneer Field opening up home play in a non-conference matchup against Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday, February 13th at 6:00 pm. After that outing on the 13th, they'll be getting their first conference game under their belts as they travel out to Daytona Beach, FL to play Embry-Riddle (FL) on Saturday, February 20th at 12:00 pm.

From there on the Bucs shift back into gear playing at Buccaneer Field for the next four straight games in non-conference play against the likes of Colorado Mesa, Southern New Hampshire, Emmanuel (GA), and Saint Michael's.

"Playing teams like Flagler, Colorado Mesa, Saint Michael's, and Southern New Hampshire early in the season will provide tremendous tests and valuable experiences that we believe will prepare us for the challenges we will face in late March and April."

Coach Williams elaborates on what it means to have the fans behind the team the whole step of the way especially when they're playing at home.

"Hosting nine home games at Buccaneer Field in front of our fans, families, and supporters is a tremendous asset for our program. We have seen firsthand the competitive advantage our fans create for our programs here on campus, and it is exciting to think about bringing that same energy to Buccaneer Field. We can't wait to share this experience with our Bucs while creating an environment and a product that our fans, administrators, and supporters can be proud of."

After that stretch of home games, the remaining portion of the Bucs schedule will consist of conference action that will commence with two away games against Florida Southern and Palm Beach Atlantic. They'll find themselves back at Buccaneer Field for two games against Rollins on Saturday, March 27th at 1:00 pm and Wednesday, March 31st at 4:00 pm against Lynn.

The month of April will be the last month of regular season play that kicks off with a tough outing against the reigning national champions in Tampa at 1:00 pm on the 3rd.

Conference action continues on Wednesday, April 7th at 7:30 pm against Florida Tech and the Bucs will play in their final home game of the regular season against Saint Leo on Saturday, April 17th at 1:00 pm. The team will close things out with their final game being on the road against Florida Southern Wednesday, April 21st at 7:00 pm.

The SSC conference tournament runs Apr. 24 – May 1, with the quarterfinals on Apr. 24, semifinals on Apr. 28, and the championships on May 1.
