LAKELAND, Fla. -- Buccaneer women's tennis players Angela Leweurs, Alina Michalitsch, Viktoriia Dema and Andrea Di Palma all traveled to Lakeland, Fla., to compete in the ITA South Regional Championships at the Wynee Ward Tennis Complex.

SINGLES:

Leweurs (Barry) defeated Annika Berrendorf (Florida Southern) in the Round of 64, 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the Round of 32 where she defeated Natalie Rainke (Valdosta State) 4-6, 6-3, 10-2 to advance to the Round of 16.

Di Palma (Barry) defeated Amina Dilovari Abdulloeva (Rollins) 6-1, and 7-5 in the Round of 64 to advance to the Round of 32, where she defeated Alizee Ripolles (Mississippi College) 6-1, 6-1 to be the second Buc to advance to the Round of 16.

Alina Michalitsch (Barry) defeated Klara Podskubkova (Montevallo) 7-6, 6-0 in the Round of 64 to advance to the Round of 32 where she beat Liu Jiayi (Rollins) 6-1, 6-2 to be the third Buc to advance to the next round.

Viktoriia Dema was victorious in the Round of 64 defeating Kamilya Shailina (St. Leo) 5-7, 6-1, 10-5 she would come back in Round of 32 to face and defeat Ane Ibarra (Auburn-Monntgomery) and be the fourth Buc to advance to the Round of 16.

DOUBLES:

The doubles team of Di Palma/Dema (Barry) beat Mississippi College's Alizee Ripolles and Rocio Martinez Azcarraga with a score of 8-2 in Round of 32 advance to Round of 16 to face Natalie Rainke/Lea Cakarevic (Valdosta State).

Alloiarova/Tatarnikova (Barry) beat Nina Mitrofanova/ Amina Dilovari Abdulloeva (Rollins) in the Round of 32 with a score of 8-2, where they would face Ita Habekovic/Sofia Shing (Nova) on Round of 16.
