MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barry men's basketball is excited to announce the addition of Pete Moe II to the roster for the 2024-25 season, head coach Butch Estes revealed on Wednesday.

"This young man will be a great addition to our program," Estes said. "There is no doubt that he fills a critical need. We are also excited about his future as we see no limits to his individual development. He is a versatile forward who can play multiple positions and will allow us to continue to have great competition amongst ourselves daily."

Moe, a 6-9 red-shirt freshman, comes to The Shores from NCAA Division I Marshall, where he did not appear in any games for the 13-20 Thundering Herd.

Moe graduated from Iowa City West, where he averaged 21.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 blocks per game while making 62.7 percent of his shots as a senior. He was a McDonald's all-American nominee in 2022 and second team all-state. He earned Mississippi Valley Conference Player of the Year and first-team all-Mississippi Valley Conference, scoring 1,085 points during his high school career, including three years at Cathedral High in Indianapolis, Ind. He then went to The Skill Factory where he won a post-graduate championship in 2023.

"I chose Barry University because of the coaching staff, Coach Estes' knowledge for the game, and the winning culture," Moe said. "I think being at Barry will allow me to win a championship and become a better basketball player through it."

Moe is the son of Jeff Moe and Angela Moe. Father Jeff played college basketball at Iowa and in the NBA for the Utah Jazz.

Moe joins early signees Dakota Morris (6-6, Forward, Florida State University High) and Reggie Reinhardt (6-1, Guard, Wellington, High).
