ORLANDO, FL – The Sunshine State Conference has announced the All-SSC men's basketball teams for the 2025-26 season. Barry Men's Basketball placed two players along two teams. Newcomers Deon Perry and Marko Sarenac were the two Buccaneers to be awarded. This marks the first time since 2023-24 that the Bucs have two honorees.
Perry, a transfer guard from Fairfield was named an All-SSC second-team member. The senior started in all 29-games for the Buccaneers and led the team in scoring with 483 points for an average of 16.7 per game. This was good enough for seventh best in the league. Perry also led the team in assists with 89 and steals with 33. Overall, the Baltimore-native scored in double figures in 22 games. His 88.8-percent efficiency at the line is good for fourth best in a single season.
Sarenac has been a machine all season long and collects All-SSC third-team honors. The junior forward has 17 doubles on the year, tying James Montgomery who last did it in 2023-24. The two are the only Bucs to have more than 10 in the last 10 seasons. Sarenac leads the conference in rebounds (318) and rebounds per game (11.4) which ranks fifth and fourth in the nation, respectively. His 235 defensive rebounds sets a new program record in a single season. The Serbian has totaled 392 points for a 14.0 per game average. Sarenac currently ranks third in rebounds in a single season in Buccaneer history, 17th in a single season for the league.
Barry will look ahead to the Sunshine State Conference Semifinals, where they will take on no. 1 Nova Southeastern in Davie, FL at the Rick Case Arena.
