LAKE JOVITA, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers men's golf team finished day one of the Saint Leo Invitational tied for fifth place, carding a 282 in the first round at the Lake Jovita GC.
The second round was suspended due to darkness.
Field consist of 20 teams and 108 players.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Miikka Makinen (-3) paced the Bucs, finishing tied for ninth after the first day.
- Bucs were even on par-3 holes, tied for third among all teams.
- Barry carded -13 on par-5 holes, tied for fourth among all teams.
- Totaled 91 pars and 34 birdies.
- Hugo Aguilar Puertes (-1), Giorgio Celani (-1) and Albin Ekvall all shot under par on par-3 holes.
- Makinen (-1) was the lone Buc to shoot under par on par-4 holes.
- All five Bucs shot under par on par-5 holes.
