INDIANAPOLIS - The Barry Buccaneers rode into the NCAA Divsion II Baseball Tournament as the sixth seed in the South Region after finishing the regular season 32-17 and 16-14 in the Sunshine State Conference. The Bucs won their final five games of the season, including just their second ever three-game sweep on the road of Florida Southern this weekend.
Barry will face off against the third-seeded Montevallo Falcons in the first round at Jim Spooner Field on the campus of the University of West Florida. The host Argonauts, seeded second, will play #7 Florida Southern. The tournament kicks off on Thursday, May 18.

NOTEWORTHY:
- For the Bucs, this is their fourth NCAA bid (1998, 2009, 2011) and just their second at-large bid.Â
- Barry improved 14 games over last season, going 32-17 after 18-31 in 2022.
- This is the second time that Barry will play at West Florida in the regional. In 2011, they advanced all the way to the final, before falling in the if-necessary game to the Argonauts, who went on to win the national championship that year.
- Barry is 3-1 against Montevallo, with all four games coming in Miami Shores. Barry won a single game in 2001 and took two of three in 2019.
