MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association ("ITA") has released today the NCAA Division II Women's Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll sponsored by Tennis-Point for January 20, 2023.

It will be five-time defending NCAA National Champions, Barry, who will earn all eight first-place votes in the Jan. 20 Preseason Coaches Poll. Featuring a mix of new and returning players, the Bucs will be led once again by Deniz Khazan who is back for her senior season after ending 2022 as the No. 1 ranked singles player in the nation.

The Bucs will face steep competition this season with eight SSC schools being selected in the top-25, as well as three in the top-five (Barry #1, Nova Southeastern #2, Saint Leo #3, Lynn #6, Tampa #14, Embry-Riddle #16, Rollins #23, Florida Southern #24). 

The Bucs will look to defend their national title by beginning play against 16th ranked Embry-Riddle on Saturday Feb. 4th at the Buccaneer Tennis Center. 

The ITA Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the ITA National Ranking Committee. The Division II Women's National Ranking Committee is made up of the 8 ITA Region Chairs, with each chair casting an individual, secret ballot.
