PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The top-seeded Barry Buccaneers will face off with the fifth-seeded Saint Leo Lions in the semifinals of the 2021 NCAA Division II South Region Women's Tennis Tournament at the Skeeter Carson Tennis Center on Saturday, May 8.

Series: Barry leads 42-1 and have won the last 10 in a row. Barry leads 8-0Â in neutral site matches.
The Bucs (10-0) drew a bye in the quarterfinals, while Saint Leo (8-3) pulled off a 4-1 upset of #4 seed Nova Southeastern in the quarterfinals, avenging a 4-0 loss to teh Sharks in the conference tournament.  The match up will be the second meeting between the teams this season. Saint Leo was the only team to take a match from the Buccaneers in April, but lost 6-1 as Barry swept to the Sunshine State Conference regular season title.
The Bucs are powered by a deep and talented singles lineup, with five of the top six earning all-conference honors. Deniz Khazan (ranked #2 in the ITA), Jil Engelmann (#20) and Madeline Bosnjak (#26) were all named First-Team singles. Julie Razafindranaly earned a spot on the Second-Team, while Daniela Farfan was named honorable mention. Khazan and Bosnjak (#10) were also named First-Team doubles, while Razafindranaly and Englemann combined for a Second-Team honor.
Molly Helgesson (#6) was named to the All-SSC First-Team singles. Marta Vincens Miquel made the Second-Team. Helgesson and Lavinia Lancellotti combind for Second-Team doubles.
