Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Although it was just added to the schedule on Tuesday, the Barry Buccaneers showed great poise in trouncing the Lynn Knights 5-1 at the Lynn Baseball Field on Wednesday in a non-conference matchup.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Erislandy Rives (1-0) earned the win for rhe Bucs in relief. He worked 4.1 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and two walks and struck out four.
- Misael Castillo (1-1) took the loss for the Knights. In six innings, he allowed three runs on five hits and three walks and struck out seven.
- Escala led the Bucs at the plate, going 3-for-4, with a triple, a run scored and an RBI
- Brito drove in a pair and Casteneda scored twice.
- Forchic, whose father Derek played at Barry, went 2-for-3 and scored a run.
- The five Buccaneer pitcher combine to throw 159 pitches, 99 for strikes. Lynn made it through the game on 121 ppitches, 79 for strikes.
