ROME, Ga. -- The Buccaneer women's tennis team will be well represented in the ITA Cup Finals, with Deniz Khazan and the duo of Kim Moosbacher and Dani Farfan advancing to the end of the respective brackets. Deniz Khazan emerged victorious in the singles semifinals, while Kim Moosbacher and Daniela Farfan earned a win in the doubles semifinals after coming back from losing their first set for the second time this tournament.

  • Deniz Khazan (Barry) def. Ana Carla Resende(Carson-Newman) 6-1, 6-2
• DOUBLES
  • Kim Moosbacher/Daniela Farfan (Barry) def. Nika Kozar/Zala Dovnik (Nova Southeastern) 4-6 6-0 [12-10]

ON THE HORIZON

Khazan will play her finals match at 9am on Sunday, Oct. 17 against Mae Canete of Central Oklahoma. Khazan defeated Canete's sister Christine earlier in the tournament. Ironically, Moosbacher and Farfan will play the Canete sisters in the final of the doubles bracket at 10:30am.
