ROME, Ga. -- The Buccaneer women's tennis team advanced three players into the ITA Cup Semifinals on Friday, Oct. 15. Deniz Khazan emerged victorious in the singles quarterfinal, while Kim Moosbacher and Daniela Farfan earned a win in the doubles bracket.
 

• SINGLES
  • Deniz Khazan (Barry) def. Christine Canete (Central Oklahoma) 6-3, 6-3
• DOUBLES
  • Kim Moosbacher/Daniela Farfan (Barry) def. Vaishali Jorge /Johanna Lippert (North Georgia) 6-0, 6-0

ON THE HORIZON

Khazan will play her semifinal match at 9am on Saturday, Oct. 16 against Ana Carla Resende of Carson-Newman. Resende knocked off #4 seed Anna Novikova of UIndy in the quarterfinal. Moosbacher and Farfan play at 1:30pm against Nika Kozar and Zala Dovnik of Nova Southeastern.
