MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Buccaneer women's tennis team will cruise into the regular season with wind in their sails after a dominant 7-0 preseason victory over Eastern Florida State on Saturday, Feb. 2 at home in Miami Shores.
The Buccaneers dominated doubles, only losing one game combined in their three matchups. Singles play was more of the same for the Bucs with Barry winning two matches in 6-0, 6-0 sweeps and going undefeated in the rest of the matchups. Aleksandra Buczynska showed uncharacteristic resilience for a freshman, winning her singles match in a tiebreaker set 10-6 despite losing the second set 2-6.
