TALLAHASEE, FL. – The BarryU men's hoops 2019-20 season kicked-off against another NCAA Division I opponent for the fourth-straight year on Tuesday. The Buccaneers dropped the exhibition game to Florida State 96-65 inside the Civic Center a year after the Seminoles advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16.
SUMMARY:

On offense, Barry was able to drive the lane and draw fouls on Seminole defenders, going 8-of-12 from the free throw line, but the 'Noles athleticism and length caused Barry to be out-rebounded by double-figures headed into the locker room trailing 37-21.
- The second half got away from the Bucs with FSU continuing to take advantage of their dominance on the boards and benefitting from second and third chances on the offensive end. Barry doubled their offensive output from the first half (21) in the second half (45) leaning on Jake Kakar with 12 points and Raivis Scerbinskis with 14 points. The Buccaneers were able to get to the free throw line and convert going 17-for-24.
NOTEWORTHY:
