MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University's women's tennis team put on a dominant display on their home courts at the BarryU Invitational this weekend. The team put together a 17-4 record throughout the tournament, the best showing of any of the five teams. The Invitational was setup in a hybrid-dual-match format rather than a traditional bracketed format.
THE MATCHUPS
The BarryU Invitational featured two Sunshine State Conference opponents in Nova Southeastern and Palm Beach Atlantic and also two other that are at the top of their respective divisions in Keiser University (NAIA) and Hillsbrough Community College (NJCAA).

NOTEWORTHY:
- The Bucs went 10-1 in doubles play with six of those wins coming against other SSC teams.
- Patricia Lopez was the only Buc to stay perfect in Doubles and Singles play, amassing a 7-0 record throughout the tournament.
- Barry went 7-3 in singles play with two wins over SSC opponents.
ON THE HORIZON:
The team will have a long layoff before resuming play in the spring season.
