MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Buccaneer men's basketball team will host Keiser University on Tuesday, November 20th before the start of their Sunshine State Conference schedule on November 28th vs. Nova Southeastern.

Tip-off against the Seahawks is set for 7:00 pm inside the Health & Sports Center in Miami Shores. The Buccaneers are coming off a 86-60 victory on the road over St. Thomas University, a conference opponent of Keiser's. Both team's participate in the NAIA Sun Conference along with Coastal Georgia who Barry defeated earlier this month 92-62 at home. Like Barry, Keiser has too played Coastal Georgia this season, coming up short 62-59 in Brunswick, Georgia. Barry has dominated opponents in their first three games, outscoring teams 82-59 while shooting 49 percent from the field and holding the other team to an impressive 32 percent. The Buccaneers hold a balanced offensive attack so far this season with four players currently averaging nine points or better. Senior Isaiah Hobbs leads the team in scoring with 10.7 points per game while shooting a whopping 81 percent from the field. 

SEAHAWK STORY
The Keiser University men's basketball team was picked to finish fourth in the 2018 Sun Conference preseason poll, but has dropped their first two conference games under the direction of interim coach Bob Starkman. Last season, Keiser lost in the TSC Championship game to Southeastern, 87-80 in overtime. Despite the setback, the Seahawks received an at-large spot in the NAIA National tournament, falling to seventh-ranked Saint Francis, 83-73 in the first round. KU concluded the year with a 20-11 overall record and 13-5 mark in conference play.
