ROME, Ga. -- Barry's second-seeded dup of Verena Schmid and Zuza Maciejewska captured gold at the ITA Oracle Cup with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 win in the final match over Beatriz Lopez and Marleen Tilgner, the fourth-seeded pair from Columbus State University. The Barry pair went on to claim a 6-4, 6-3 win over Caroline Cox and Catherine Allen of Clermont-Mudd-Scripts, the NCAA Division III champions.

SUMMARY:

NOTEWORTHY:
- Schmid and Maciejewska are now the third Barry team to win the ITA NCAA Division national doubles title. They join Ildiko Csordas and Ana Maria Zuleta who won in 2005 and Emma Onila and Linda Fritschken who won back to back in 2013 and 2014.
