ROME, Ga. -- Barry's Verena Schmid and Zuz Maciejewska advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Oracle Cup with a 7-5, 6-4 win over New York Tech's Barbie Quagliardi and Diana Baumgartnere at the Rome Tennis Center on Thursday.

SUMMARY:
- The second-seeded Bucs took the match in straight sets to advance to the semifinals.
- Barry's duo will face the freshmen combo from Indianapolis, Nikol Alexeeva and Anya Novikova in the semifinals. The UIndy pair upset the third seed from Cameron University
NOTEWORTHY:
- Schmid and Maciejewska are looking to become the third Barry team to win the ITA national doubles title. Ildiko Csordas and Ana Maria Zuleta won in 2005, while Emma Onila and Linda Fritschken won back to back in 2013 and 2014.
