MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Buccaneers host the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic on Wednesday, Nov. 29 in the Sunshine State Conference basketball home openers.

The Bucs are 4-2 after taking both games at the Cesar Odio Thanksgiving Classic. The Bucs bumped off previously unbeaten Southwest Baptist 83-76 in overtime and handled Minnesota-Crookston 71-61. The Bucs have won two in a row and look to get back to even in the league.
Barbara Cousiño, the reigning SSC Player of the Week, leads the Bucs at 16.0 points per game. She is shooting 50.0 percent from the floor, including 45.5 percent from three-point range, and 95.5 percent from the line. She chips in 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game. Kiara Palmer adds 13.5 points per game, on 54.8 percent shooting, and leads the team with 9.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. Ida Andersson averages 12.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists. Cousiño and Andersson were both named to the All-Tournament team at the Odio Classic, with Cousiño earning the MVP honors.
The Sailfish (1-5, 0-2 SSC) dropped their first four games, before beating Minnesota-Crookston 69-66 in the Odio Classic. The 'Fish fell 75-67 to Southwest Baptist in their last game.
Hannah Grim lead the Sailfish and the SSC in scoring at 20.5 points per game. Ciara Cumbie and Tyler Davis each chip in 9.8 points per game, while Mina Salhia adds 9.7. Cumbie tops the team with 9.2 rebounds per game, while Salhia's 2.8 assists leads the team.

The Buccaneers meet Palm Beach Atlantic at 7:30 p.m. This game takes on extra incentive for the Bucs, who lost twice to the Sailfish last year, including in the Sunshine State Conference semifinals.
Barry (4-1, 1-0 SSC) owns the sixth highest scoring offense in Division II at 96.6 points per game, second in the SSC. The Bucs have been the class of the conference in the early going, leading the league in scoring defense, scoring margin, field goal shooting and field goal defense, three-point shooting and three-pointers made per game, and assist/turnover ratio.
