Sonja Larsen dropped her match against the No. 16-seed of the ITA Fall National Championship Wednesday morning, which was held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
"Sonja competed very well today, and just came up short against a very good player from the University of Arkansas," assistant coach Steve Schram said. "She learned a lot from today's match and we look forward to another great day tomorrow."
SUMMARY:
- Tennis' Sonja Larsen was defeated by No. 16-seeded Leolia Jeanjean, from Arkansas, 6-4, 6-4.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Dating back to last spring, this was Larsen's first loss in 37 singles matches.
- This tournament is mostly compiled with Division I players.
ON THE HORIZON:
