MIAMI SHORES, Fla. --  Barry University's 10th-ranked men's basketball team hosts Virgin Islands 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Health & Sports Center.

It is the Buccaneers fourth straight home game. They hit the road to Eckerd this Saturday in a marquee matchup of two of the Sunshine State Conference's best teams.

Barry (10-1) has won four in a row. The Bucs are 8-0 on the road. Virgin Islands is 1-3, following a 105-69 loss at Florida Memorial Tuesday night.

John Nunnaly, Jr. scored 32 points, and had eight rebounds against the Gyrenes in that Dec. 31 game. He attempted 32 field goals. Paul Watson had 13 points and six boards. Jahkelle Stevens had nine points for Virgin Islands, who also bear the nickname of the Buccaneers.

Barry, which is ranked No. 10 in both the coaches and media polls, played Virgin Islands once in the program's history. Barry won that game in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1997.

Adrian Gonzalez is four points shy of moving into sixth place on Barry's all-time scoring list. He was named the SSC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, while Daniel Mortensen collected Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time. Arie Williams needs three more triples to move into third place on the school's all-time three-point field goals list.
