LAKELAND, Fla. -- Barry freshman Dasha Salnikova advanced to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association South Region semifinals.

Salnikova defeated Florida Southern's Linnea Skymberg, 6-3, 6-1, in the Round of 16. She got past Lynn's Grace Mpassy, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, 10-4, in the quarterfinals.

Sonja Larsen beat Lynn's Tereza Hejlova, 6-1, 6-3, in her first match Saturday. Larsen lost to Lynn's Rosalie Willig, 5-7, 6-1, 10-4, in the quarterfinals.

Larsen and Salnikova defeated West Florida's Jordana Lujan and Valeria Mantilla, 8-2, to advance to Sunday's doubles quarterfinals.

Judith Bohnenkamp defeated Mantilla, 6-4, 6-4, to move on to the consolation semifinals. 

The tournament runs through Monday.
